Watermark: Bearded man in turban - Said Muhammad Abd Allah al-Hasan (1856 - 1920).

Front side: BANKIGA DHEXE EE SOOMAALIYA. The picture shows a man at work. The denomination is inscribed with N 50 shillings at all four corners of the banknote. Below in the middle there is an inscription: MUQDISHO and the year 1991.
Reverse side: CENTRAL BANK OF SOMALIA. The picture shows a standing woman and children on a donkey. The denomination, as well as on the obverse, is indicated in all 4 corners of the banknote.
