1000 shillings. Obverse: On the left side of the Banknote there is an image of two women weaving baskets. The denomination is indicated in all four corners of the banknote. In the central upper part of the Banknote there is an inscription: BANKIGA DHEXE EE SOMAALIYA (Central Bank of Somalia). To the right of the image are the signatures of authorized persons.
Watermark: Bearded man in turban - Said Muhammad Abd Allah al-Hasan (1856 - 1920).

50 shillings. Front side: BANKIGA DHEXE EE SOOMAALIYA. The picture shows a man at work. The denomination is inscribed with N 50 shillings at all four corners of the banknote. Below in the middle there is an inscription: MUQDISHO and the year 1991. Reverse side: CENTRAL BANK OF SOMALIA. The picture shows a standing woman and children on a donkey. The denomination, as well as on the obverse, is indicated in all 4 corners of the banknote. 1991 year Dimensions: 140 x 70 mm. Series AD, No. 1822000.
