Five banks have the right to issue Northern Ireland pounds: Ulster Bank, Bank of Ireland, First Trust Bank, North Bank and Bank of Denmark (since May 11, 2012, the Bank of Denmark fully accepts all rights to banknotes previously issued by the North Bank - the design of the banknotes has been preserved, but the logo of the North the bank is replaced with the logo of the bank of Denmark).
