YEMENA banknotes - a catalog of coins of different countries: modern coins and banknotes of all countries of the world, samples, gold and silver coins, photos and description.
The Yemeni rial is Yemen's currency in circulation since the country's unification in 1990. It is formally subdivided into 100 fils, although not a single coin with a similar denomination has been released into circulation. Since 1998, Banknotes of a new series with a modified design and new denominations: 250, 500 and 1000 rials began to appear in circulation. Banknotes of the previous series (from 50 to 200 rials) are also in circulation. Smaller denominations have been replaced by coins.
