The Macedonian denar is the national currency of Macedonia. One denar is equal to 100 denis, but since January 1, 2013, Denis coins are no longer valid. In circulation Banknotes in denominations of 10, 50, 100, 500, 1000 and 5000 denars. In November 2014, information appeared about the possible issue of banknotes in denominations of 200 and 2000 dinars, even their images were published, but they have not yet been released into circulation.
